Seeking General Manager

Bonfire Coffee is looking to add a talented General Manager to our team.  Someone with experience leading a team and a passion for coffee and hospitality. General Manager is responsible for Bonfire Coffee’s overall operational success and financial performance.  The General Manager will ensure excellent customer service, the shop is in presentable order, fully stocked, and efficiently working.

Qualifications:

  • Able to work on your feet for long periods
  • Perform repetitive motion with the hands, wrists, and forearms. 
  • Taste/smell:  the ability to detect and perceive the aromas and tastes of coffee
  • Carry weight and lift:  lift 5 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. 

Outline of Duties:

  • Five-day commitment.  Sunday through Thursday or Thursday through Monday.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor, including working full time in the cafe and at least one weekend day. 
  • Develop an attentive, detail-oriented staff with excellent customer service.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by acting as a role model for staff, customers, and vendors
  • Handle both guest and staff complaints/issues in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate appropriate responsibilities and practices to staff to achieve operational goals.
  • Take ownership of staff development by assessing staff performance and coaching employees with positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a solid and open channel of communication between staff, the Assistant Manager, and the Owner.
  • Perform accurate weekly orders while monitoring inventory levels for peak performance. 
  • Plan out bi-weekly schedules accurately to ensure an optimized workplace
  • Facilitate/schedule new staff training and coordinate with appropriate persons for training schedule
  • Demonstrate ownership and urgency of Bonfire Coffee by ensuring cleanliness and organization of the shop’s front-of-house and back-of-house
  • Ensure adherence to Bonfire Coffee’s dress code, health and safety requirements, and other company policies
  • Ensure all new operating systems and standards are being implemented and upheld
  • Makes sure the café vibe is always full of energy and positivity through music, employee energy, quality of work

Compensation and Benefits:

Salaried Position based on a 40–50-hour work week for $70,000 to $77,000 depending upon experience.  10 Days Paid Time Off
