This coffee comes from longtime Guji farmer and mill manager Kedir Hassan. Kedir is an excellent engineer as well as a coffee farmer and built his whole Hambela station in one season. The station sits 1816 meters above sea level, and coffee is grown up to 2100 meters above sea level. Kedir built his station with high efficiency and high processing standards in mind.
However, Kedir did not produce this coffee alone. There is a strong community in Dabaye (the town where Kedir’s Hambela station is located) that helped Kedir build the station and also supplied coffee from their own farms to Kedir’s station. This coffee is wet-processed washed) and sun-dried on extensive raised beds.
